When you work as an automotive service technician at Bill Jacobs MINI, you will:
This work may involve diagnosing the causes of vehicle malfunctions, or it may be a straightforward service. In either case, you will be expected to keep in touch with the service advisor, letting them know if there are any changes to what is needed (for example, if the vehicle requires extra service or if the service will take longer than promised). You will also need to be in contact with the parts department for any parts or fluids needed. As you perform the work, you will be expected to document your progress and perform quality testing on any work performed. This may include road testing vehicles to ensure that the problem is addressed. You will also need to follow federal, state, and local regulations governing service repair work, as well as dealership and factory standards.
In addition to your day-to-day work on MINI models, you will also need to take regular training classes and keep up to speed with factory technical bulletins.
