Active reception allows you to discuss your MINI’s condition and performance with a certified technician as you inspect the vehicle together. This knowledge-sharing opportunity is an excellent way for you to learn more about your vehicle’s maintenance needs and for us to gain insight into the best way to care for your MINI.


MINI active reception is a vehicle inspection guided by a certified technician with customers present. You will walk around your MINI alongside a certified technician to discuss the primary systems and components. This provides an opportunity for you to discuss any performance troubles you have been experiencing and allow the technician to gather additional information about what maintenance is needed. Active reception is an excellent staging point for gaining insight about expected vehicle performance and what maintenance or repairs are needed to ensure it operates at its best.

One of the most significant benefits that our customers receive during an enthusiastic reception is the educational value. Any concerns found by the technician will welcome a discussion about the problem, risk, corrective maintenance, and how to prevent this problem from recurring. Customers can ask any questions as the technician inspects primary systems and major components. Active reception begins when our knowledgeable service advisor greets you. You will partner with a certified MINI technician that knows your vehicle inside and out. The technician will check under the hood, walk around the vehicle, and check underneath. Similar to a multi-point vehicle inspection but with you present on the shop floor, you can expect that your enthusiastic reception will include an inspection and discussion of these primary systems and vital components:

  • Engine compartment – battery, serpentine belt, oil leaks, fluid levels, and more!
  • Underneath – undercarriage, suspension, steering, and transmission systems
  • Interior – dashboard warning lights, signals, and safety devices
  • Exterior – tires, bumpers, and lights



The more information we have from you as the owner/driver, the better we can get to the bottom of any trouble and discuss the best maintenance to fix it.
