Wondering If It’s Going To Rain? Just Ask Your MINI.

April 8th, 2016 by

You look up, and the sky a little way away looks gray. Are those rain clouds? Are they moving towards you or away from you? You confer with the folks around you. Nobody heard about rain today. Wait. That guy did. He’s even got an umbrella. Is it really going to rain? Doesn’t anyone know?

You do. Or, more accurately, your MINI does. The upcoming 2016 MINI Cooper Convertible features MINI Connected XL Journey Mate, an infotainment system that syncs up with your phone and provides a wide array of helpful apps. One of our favorites is the Rain Warner App. The app takes a look at the route you have plugged in, checks the forecast, and, if it’s going to rain, displays a notification that gives you a heads up and a chance to close your top before it’s too late. Have you ever unwittingly driven into a downpour with your top down and your laptop on the seat? It’s not a fun time.

Beyond the app, there’s a lot to like about the MINI Convertible. That top serves as a 3-in-1 roof, allowing you to drive with the top up, down, or half-open for those days where you want the best of both worlds. And a TwinPower Turbo engine puts plenty of pep in your step, getting you from Point A to Point B on time and in style.

Curious? Test drive a MINI during the MINI April Invitational, taking place 4/15 – 4/24, and MINI will make a donation to Feeding America®. And if you buy a new MINI? You’ll get $1,000 off.

If you’re looking for a pre-owned MINI Cooper, we’ve got those too. Come in to Bill Jacobs MINI in Naperville, IL, and take your new car for a spin.
