2016 MINI Clubman Proves Popular As Demand Outpaces Supply

April 22nd, 2016 by

After some initial skepticism from consumers, the 2016 MINI Clubman has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be a hit. With demand currently outpacing stock at MINI dealerships, the Clubman is on its way to becoming the best seller in the range. David Duncan, Vice President of MINI of the Americas, weighed in on the model’s success, saying “We see that as a fast growing segment, so having an entry in there gives us that opportunity. And then when you look at the car itself, it’s got a premiumness about it that really takes us to the next level and allows us to compete against brands that we weren’t typically competing against.”

MINI has entered the larger vehicle segment with both the MINI Clubman and the MINI Cooper S Countryman All4, a change of pace that has proven to be highly beneficial for the brand. The company had found that MINI drivers moving on to other brands weren’t leaving due to dissatisfaction. Rather, they simply needed more room, in most cases due to the need to accommodate growing families. With new, larger vehicles, the MINI brand can grow with those drivers.

Of course, it’s important to remember that MINI is simply adding to their lineup, not abandoning any part of it. The new models retain the distinctive styling that MINI drivers have come to expect, and the brand has no intention of moving away from their smaller models. In fact, this month sees the release of the new MINI convertible, a car oozing with style and precision-engineered performance, all in a compact package.

No matter what MINI model you choose, know that Bill Jacobs MINI in Naperville, IL is always here to provide top-of-the-line MINI service.
