2016 MINI Clubman: Classic Style With Modern Curb Appeal

March 28th, 2016 by

Have you checked out the 2016 MINI Cooper Clubman? Taking the highlights of past vehicles, and adding in some great new features, MINI has put their best foot forward with the latest iteration of the Clubman. One of the things you’ll notice about the Clubman is that it’s 11 inches longer and 3 inches wider than the MINI Cooper four-door. These changes create more room for passengers, a more accommodating rear seat, and improved cargo space. By making the inside of the vehicle more spacious, MINI has created a car for families looking to avoid tight quarters while still enjoying iconic MINI style.

That sense of style is apparent throughout the interior of the clubman. Chrome-tipped toggle switches and a red start button flipper switch give drivers a feeling closer to sitting inside an aircraft cockpit than the driver’s seat of an automobile. The Clubman also features a large round center screen to accommodate the infotainment system. And just for fun, MINI has surrounded the screen with a rim that changes colors to reflect your actions. In other words, your new MINI has a mood ring.

There are three engines to choose from to make sure you get exactly the ride you want from your MINI Clubman. A 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbo engine pumps out 134 horsepower in the base model, while the S model kicks things up a notch with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine delivering 189 horsepower. While a six-speed manual transmission is standard, drivers of the base model can opt for a six-speed automatic transmission, while Clubman S drivers who choose to go automatic will get an eight-seed gear box to enjoy.

Bill Jacobs MINI is your local MINI dealership serving Chicago. No matter what kind of ride you’re after, we’ll help you find the MINI model that’s right for you.
