The Bill Jacobs service team did a good job dealing with Mini USA and getting them to cover the parts, however the labor still was thousands. They and also told me that the rental car they set up for us would be at no charge to us, but then we were charged! They also told me they would bring my vehicle back to me & pick up the rental they gave us. However when they finally said my vehicle was done, they told me they couldn't bring my vehicle back to me or pick up the loaner unless we added their employee-a complete stranger- to our insurance as an authorized driver!     "My car was in for service for 5 days. They couldn't figure out where the leak was. Luckily I had a picture because I didn't think they believed me. The day after I picked it up there was a package of cigarettes in the back seat. Two days after picking it up the service engine light came on. I was very unhappy and was told it was probably due to the gas cap or filling up the gas tank with the engine running. ReallY! What do you think the demographics are for Mini drivers? I was insulted that someone would think that I would be so stupid to fill up with the engine on. Needless to say this was not a possibility because I did not fill up with gas.     "I had two service visits for the same issues and one of the two problems still remains. For the first visit, the part that was scheduled for replacement wasn't in yet. I was told I would be contacted when it came in. I never was and I called to make a follow up appointment a month later. That part was installed on the second visit but the second issue remains and was not addressed in the first two visits. Now the service advisor would like me to pay for that service when it was included with purchase, promised to be fixed at the first two visits without charge but never fixed!!!! Then during the service appointment the car was kept for 4 days (was estimated at 1-2), I never got a call back on status or when my car would be ready even though I called 5 times and left (polite) requests.     "I brought my Mini in at 7am and when I made my appt. I indicated that I would need a loner car. When I arrived for my appt. I was informed that no longer cars were available and that I would need to wait 8 minutes until Enterprise opened in order to obtain a rental car. Once I got to Enterprise I had to wait in line for my rental car and as a result I was late for work.     "My daughter made the appointment for 11:30am and the service writer said it would take 1 hour for the recall service. Service advisor called me to authorize additional services which I declined as the vehicle has less tha 10,000 miles and do not have time or understand why it needs additional service. The vehicle was not ready for pickup until 4:30 pm (5 hours) and was not washed or cleaned. My daughter was disappointed in the process as she is the principal driver of the car.
